WFMW--Black Pants Question

It is backwards day again for Works for Me Wednesday and here is my burning question. Black dress pants....when you wash them....soap and fluff and stuff show up on them. Sometimes, I even have a hard time getting it all off and just feel like they look dingey. Do you have any tricks for washing them so they come out black? Or is there a product you could recommend that helps with this?
Thanks (in advance) for your help and head on over to Shannon's blog and help other bloggers with their questions!!!

  1. First, cut back on your soap. I use about 1/4 the amount called for, even for my 11 yo son's laundry. Second, wash your pants inside out. I also do this with anything with ornamentation so they don't get snagged. My DH has several pairs of navy washable dress pants and I never have any problems with them. Dress clothes are the only thing I seperate out of my laundry so they only get washed with other dress clothes - nothing linty.

  2. You could also try using Woolite's Dark Clothes formula.
