I've been a Works For Me Wednesday fan for a while now. And I have struggled with how to keep all of these ideas handy. I tried notebooks, but each week, I can't always find that notebook. I have/had little pieces of paper and sticky notes with ideas galore everywhere. Here's my tip: open a Word document (or any word processing) and cut and paste the tip into the document. After a few weeks, you can go back and sort the big document into subcategories if you like (recipes/food to try, products to buy, etc.). If you like you can keep it like this and save a tree...or print it every so often, punch holes, and put into a binder. And here's a bonus tip: keep up with WHO had the idea...so when you do try it and want to thank them, you can...or if it messes up, you can go back and see their post to see if you did something wrong.
There's my WFMW tip for ya!! If you want to check out more, head over to here!
This is a great idea! Having Word opened and minimized while you're clicking around would be super easy, too. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGood idea...I may do this instead of keeping everything bookmarked indefinitely, which is my current not-so-effective system.
ReplyDeleteI like saving my favorite tips to del.icio.us and adding the appropriate tag!
ReplyDeleteWhat a simply brilliant idea! I've often wondered how on earth I could keep track of all the handy hints, tips, and suggestions I get from WFMW. I've never even thought of this, even though I do it this way for other things, like Bible study notes. Duh! Thanks for the tip!!
ReplyDeleteGreat tip! I do something similar myself. I had to learn to make a note of the person who said it because I was always forgetting.
ReplyDeleteHey, there's an award for you over at my place! See you there!
